Master; Prof. Charles PHAN HOANG

founder of Viet Tai Chi

 

 

Master Charles Phan Hoang was born in   1936 in Vietnam. As a member of a   highly educated family, he was trained,  since his early age, into the practice   of martial arts and in the traditional   culture by great Masters. 

He is, at the same time, a man   fond of Martial Arts, a man of   literature and a great traveller, capable of   speaking several languages. 

He is an international man, meeting point between   East and West and, considering all   the wars which divide men, he is   constantly looking for solutions   which could make them more friendly  stronger, more helpful so that they   could live in harmony and ood agreement. 

 In 1972 he found the International Viet Vo  Dao Federation in the region of   Limousin (France), gathering around him   several Vietnamese Masters, the most   famous in Europe, starting the   development of Viet Vo Dao. .

 His innate educational vocation has oriented him toward University teaching career from which he has obtained important rewards for having among his students top managers and excellent researchers from many different countries.

 

At the moment he is a  professor in the Faculty of Science of the University of Quebec in Montreal

 

In 1990, after long journeys around the world, after living for a long time in monasteries and after long periods of meditation and research, he started to formulate and codify the different oriental millenary techniques and traditions originating the international movement of Viet Tai Chi.
